Ahmad Nazif, is a lecturer for Industrial Technology Management Program at Faculty of Industrial Management, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). He holds a M.Sc in Industrial Management and Technology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM); B.App.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Diploma in Science from Institut Teknologi MARA (ITM). Prior to joining UMP, he had enjoyed a flourishing career, spanning 10 years in the manufacturing industries with key positions as a Production Executive at Hicom-Teck See Manufacturig Sdn. Bhd. and a Production Manager for Ace Polymers Sdn. Bhd. and ERP Hychem Sdn. Bhd. As production personnel in producing automotive component, he had involved in projects related to process improvement such as QCC, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Line Balancing, SMED, TPM and FMEA.
Since joining UMP in 2010, he has lectured Operation and Production Management, Statistical Process Control, Quality Management System, Manufacturing Process, Procurement and Technology Management courses. For research projects, he is currently leading a research in process layout improvement using integrated modelling technique with several SME’s. He also contribute as a member for several other projects such as project to improve assembly line processing, to assess determinants and barriers of innovation in SME’s and to develop the Malaysian Technology Content Framework.
Apart from doing lecturing for Faculty of Industrial Management, he also serves as trainer for short courses and executive diploma program at Centre for Continuing Education and Professional Development (CENFED), UMP. He trains industrial workers in process control, logistics management, operation management and softskills. His abilities to blend his knowledge and experiential learning are reflected in his creative and energetic presentations.
